3 Ways To Style A Band Tee

The graphic tee and the band t-shirt are always a part of my style rotation and probably a casual basic in most everyone’s wardrobe. Right now, wearing the band tee is very on-trend.

I styled my favorite ZZ Top band tee 3 ways you may not have seen yet for Fall. All 3 looks are Fall transition looks that are edgy and different. I tried to use things that you might already have in your wardrobe but if not I’m linking some affordable options. Regardless, all the items are super versatile and stylish for any woman’s wardrobe.

Oh, I made a fun stop-motion styling video for you too! I threw a little Texas Two-Step in there at one point so let me know if you spot it. My mom was helping me shoot this and was cracking up at all the faces and poses – I was like just wait until you see how it all comes together. 🙂

Rock Chic

I bought this faux fur vest last year and to be honest I wasn’t sure how I was going to get the maximum wear out of the investment but surprisingly I found myself reaching for it all the time. There are plenty of faux fur vest options out there and I recommend adding one to your wardrobe ASAP because they’re so versatile in the Fall.

I’ve been mixing a lot of tone-on-tone this season and really loving it. I paired my favorite ZZ Top Band tee with these busted knee American Eagle jeans & motorcycle boots. Motorcycle boots are a MUST for Fall/Winter! I’ve gone through 4+ pairs of this style boot over the years and buy a new pair every season.

Tone on Tone

Here I go with tone-on-tone again. I used to shy away from these pairings because I am so pale and sometimes I get washed out but with the right lip, the darker shoe and the denim jacket – I think it breaks up the look just right.

I have a long torso and shorter legs so if you’re like me – you might shy away from midi skirts. I tied the tee up to give the illusion of a shorter waist and to create more shape. I have a boxy figure in general and will implement all the hacks I can find to create a more flattering shape.

I picked up these BP booties from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and I love the color. I think this conagc/rust color will be so great for Fall and bonus – they’re super comfortable. The price has gone back up but they’re still a great investment!

I would totally go to a concert, out for brunch, date night or just wear this outfit on a casual weekend. The denim jacket is an Old Navy find and is my all-time favorite denim jacket! I have broad shoulders and it’s nice and stretchy to accommodate and be super comfortable for long wear! It comes in 3 denim washes, plus white and black! It’s a great price point regularly and is often on sale so….GO!

Trendy to Travel

So…these pictures did not turn out well and unfortunately, editing couldn’t fix them but instead of re-shooting…I decided that I’m not perfect and I’m just going to post them because you get the picture.

I left the ZZ Top tee long here and paired it with my favorite moto leggings. You’re welcome to invest in the Spanx Moto Leggings if you want but mine are from Old Navy and work just as well! Either way, moto leggings are a definitely Fall/Winter wardrobe must-have! I actually dressed this would-be casual look up with a pair of patent leather slingbacks and I LOVE it! You could totally get away with wearing this on a date night, casual Friday (if leggings are allowed at your office) or brunch!

I also wanted to show you how easily this could translate into a travel outfit with a pair of slip-on sneakers! I always bring a cardigan or jacket on the plane with me and prefer to wear leggings so this is a go-to outfit for me.
