Summer is in full swing in the South and there is nothing that I love more than throwing on my favorite white dress. If you have a LWD (little white dress) or are in the market for one – I’ve got you covered with 3 ways to wear a white dress for Summer.
I found a gorgeous cope of trees and a shady spot in the hot Texas afternoon to show you the 3 ways I love to wear this white dress. I ordered this midi-length dress from Target last Summer and really got a lot of wear out of it. It was a little bitter sweet when I put it back on this season because it is actually now too big and I think it will head to the donate pile. Bitter sweet because I’ve lost 17 pounds since I last wore this dress so it’s sad that the dress no longer fits me but I’m proud of myself for being able to lose the weight.
This first styling is a favorite of mine because I have fair skin and want to enjoy the Summer weather without always slathering myself in sunscreen. I tossed this chambray shirt over the dress and tied it in a loose knot to create a waist.

Felt flowy and free with fun accessories to jazz up a simple white dress. Believe it or not all my accessories, including the bag, are under $25 bucks! The shoes are the most expensive because they’re genuine leather sandals.
As I mentioned earlier, I’m using accessories like belts to really help define my waist. I am a major leopard lover and pretty much incorporate it into all my outfits in some way or another so the LWD with the leopard belt is totally up my alley.
Can’t say enough good things about the quality and cuteness of the Shein Rattan/Wicker style bag. Very Summer!

Continuing with 3 ways to wear a white dress for Summer, I wanted to elevate the dress for the office. Whether you’re still working from home or looking for a business casual way to wear one of your white dresses – a power color blazer is the way to go! I was going for chic but effortless yet still eye catching.
I’ve had this pink blazer for several years now and sadly it is no longer available but here are some other options that I liked. Here, Here and Here. Every woman should have a pink blazer in their wardrobe to pull out when their Elle Woods moment strikes. Plus, they just look great with everything.
Styled with a simple cognac belt and popped a little more color with a turquoise pendant necklace from Kendra Scott (another piece I’ve had for 5+ years).
