Texas summers are hot y’all and they go on FOREVER. I don’t know about you but when it’s hot outside I don’t want a whole bunch of makeup on my face. Because instead of doing the Texas 2-step your face will be doing the Texas slide. <Insert laughing emoji here because that was a good joke> Summer is a time for looking natural and glowy! I’m sharing my quick 5-minute summer makeup routine that’s both affordable and flawless! *Close up, unfiltered final look photo at the bottom*

1. bareMinerals Original SPF 15 Foundation
I am an OG bareMinerals user! I’ve been using this foundation since I was 16 years old and swear by its coverage, effectiveness, and protection. I have fair skin that burns easily so I ALWAYS need sun protection (the more the merrier in my book). I use the Original foundation in loose powder form but there is Matte and pressed powder available now. Dump some in the lid and use the swirl-tap method with a fluffy but firm brush. Here’s the brush I’m currently using here.
Pro Tip: Visit your local Sephora or Ulta and get color matched if you’re not 100% certain of your shade. I’m wearing the Fairly Light because I have a more yellow undertone to my skin. My sister has more olive skin and she has a pinkish undertone and wears a shade LIGHTER than me.
2. e.l.f. Cosmetics Need It Nude Eyeshadow Palette
I LOVE this palette and I love the price too! It’s under $8! The colors are gorgeous and great for so many seasons. For this look, I’m using the 5th shade from the left, a blushing sparkling pink, and I just used my finger to swipe it over my eye. I did 2 coats and blended it out with my finger too. You can definitely use a brush too but your fingers are fantastic makeup tools!
3. e.l.f. Essential Waterproof Eyeliner Pen (Black)
This eyeliner pen is one of my most favorite beauty products EVER! I am so confident with eyeliner now, I feel like a pro! This is like a felt-tip pen with a firm tip so you can easily create your lines and wings. I used it on the top and bottom for this makeup look and did a slight wing but you do you! Note: These pens are a great price point! I pick them up every time I’m at Walmart or Target because they don’t last long – 2 weeks max. *The price of these pens is almost $7 online but they’re only $2 each at Target or Walmart.
Pro Tip: Store your eyeliner pens upside down so the liquid will stay at the tip and make your makeup application that much quicker!

4. e.l.f. Cosmetics Powder Blush Palette
Only thing that stinks about these e.l.f palette’s is that the shades don’t have names! So for blush, I’m using the upper left corner shade. These colors are pretty concentrated so just dab your fluffy brush into the blush color of your choice and tap off the excess. Start with light circular motions at the apples of your cheeks and work your way up toward your hairline.
5. Maybelline New York Great Lash Washable Mascara Makeup (Very Black)
Using the OG of all the mascaras right now – Great Lash in the green and pink tube! No chance you haven’t seen or used this at least once in your life ladies and it’s still a great mascara to this day!
6. L’Oréal Paris Makeup Colour Riche Shine Lipstick, Burnished Blush
Finally, this lipstick has been my go-to for this summer! I love the subtle pink and rich shine. It has great hydration too and isn’t drying. I’m blessed to have a great natural color on my lip so I’m mostly a chapstick girl but when I want to pop a color – this is definitely a good one for me. Plus, I think this shade of pink would look so great on so many skin tones!

You’ll see I skipped brows, contour, highlighter & bronzers. Sometimes I just like to keep it simple but those are definitely super easy additions to any summer makeup routine but they take time to do them right.
One of the best things about this 6 product makeup routine is the price. You can get all the products for $56! That’s a phenomenal deal for makeup that will last you all summer and beyond. I’m always changing my look and working with new palettes and colors so I appreciate quality drug store makeup finds!
There you have it! 6 products and 5 minutes or less to apply because it’s a no fuss – no hassle makeup routine. If I’m not going makeup free on the weekends, which is a typical occurrence for me, I certainly don’t want to spend an hour or so applying makeup. I’m a fan of low maintenance.
