7 Office Appropriate Outfits From Target

Work, work, work, work, work! Where are all my working women! <Raises hand> We’re in an age where women are climbing the corporate ladder, their contributions to the team are being noted and respected AND women can showcase their personal style in their professional wardrobe.

I have worked in various offices that ranged from business professional to jeans and t-shirt casual but I’ve always had an obsession with workwear and creating outfits for the office that effortlessly combine the professional with my personality.

There are many women who want to build a professional wardrobe without breaking the bank so I went on a hunt through Target for some office outfit ideas and built an entire work week’s worth of professional outfits fit for the office. It was a great day at Target because not only did I style outfits for Monday through Friday I got 2 bonus outfits as well! Enjoy!

Monday

You cannot go wrong with a crisp gray pair of slacks. This pair fits true to size and shockingly hits pretty close to the ankle for a petite gal like me. The slacks have a little stretch but not too much and are a great price point at $25. I paired it with this simple and stylish Who What Wear collection sleeveless button down in black and white polka dots. I love this top because it’s great quality and works for so many work outfits. It’s very versatile and also $25.

Tuesday

Tuesdays are for animal prints at your office too, right? But first, can we have a round of applause for professional palazzo pants that fit petites? YES! I picked these pants up because of the color but was skeptical from the jump because I’ve never found a pair of palazzo pants that worked for my 5 foot frame, until now. These pants are stunning, have fantastic detail and fit great. Unfortunately, I cannot find them online anywhere so I liked a similar pair.

I paired it with this ruffle/bell sleeve blouse, again from the Who What Wear collection, and I just loved this combo. It’s a nice balance between edgy and professional.

Wednesday

If you’re like me by Wednesday you are needing to add a little color into your wardrobe to brighten up your week. Whether or not your week is fab or a flub – this under $18 yellow sweater will bring a smile to you and your co-workers faces. I paired it with a pair of Target’s A New Day brand black slacks. Let me tell you – these slacks were COMFY, so comfortable. They had great stretch and I could definitely see myself working at my desk all day without having any zippers or hook closures pintching me. However, I am wearing my regular size and they were super long in the legs. These are not petite-friendly but if you’re average height they will definitely work for you!

Thursday

Who What Wear for the win again with this white button front shirt dress. This piece is stunning and such high-quality. The moment I put it on I knew I would be taking it home. The fit is perfect and it is so flattering. This is a great dress for your summer office wardrobe, just throw on your favorite cardigan and go. I love this dress because it’s a great investment piece that can transition seasonally and is an easy piece to style for the office, casual weekend, a wedding, brunch or out running errands.

Friday

Fridays you can always have a little more fun. So try out this spicy burnt orange cami with a subtle leopard print for a casual Friday. I paired it very simply with a cardigan and black slacks to really let the top steal the show. This top is a great find because it’s a great color and you can dress it up or down.

Bonus Outfit # 1:

This is an incredibly feminine work look. I love the softness of the floral print paired with this thin long sleeve white sweater. I’ve styled it for a Spring/Summer office look here but both these pieces easily transition into Fall. This outfit is under $50.

Bonus Outfit #2:

Florals and black is a big trend this year and this dress is a great example of doing it right. The pastel floral print is stunning against the black and really makes this simple crepe dress pop. I’m wearing a large here because that was the only size available at my Target but I would definitely recommend getting your true size. Add a belt to it to create more shape. This dress is very flattering and a great length for the office.
