Recently re-discovered H&M and started scrolling their site and found that they have a whole sub-section of their website for Women’s Workwear! Score!!! Ordered 8 pieces that really caught my attention that would work in my workwear wardrobe. Sharing my petite H&M workwear try-on haul.

Outfit 1
This classic black cap sleeve dress is an office must-have. There are truly so many ways to wear this $34.99 dress. I ordered a medium and it fits true to size. It is a fitted dress and is meant to be worn that way. The quality is really impressive for the price point. Would feel comfortable wearing this in any work environment and know that I look chic and professional.

Styled this simply with my favorite less structured black blazer and simple bow earrings from Lisi Lerch, which are too cute. These pumps are a great investment shoe that will last. Not to mention they are ultra comfortable. This is the Sarah Flint Perfect Pump 85 in black calf leather. They come in 10+ other colors and prints, as well as 2 other height variations (shorter and taller). Use code SARAHFLINT-BALEIGHA for $50 off your first pair.
Swapped out blazers to show a few other ways that this dress can be spiced up for Summer in the office.
Outfit 2
This white linen-blend wrap over dress was the most expensive item in the order at just under $50. I ordered a medium. it hits at the perfect length for a petite gal, just above the knee. It is lined so you can wear it without fear of shadows or lines. As far as sizing on this one, it fits really great in the waist but the top portion is a little big on me.

Outfit 3
The next outfit in the petite H&M workwear try-on haul is this orange/coral crepe tie neck blouse and black skirt with belt detail. Out of all the colors I could have in my closet, I have the most orange pieces. Something about the color for work just pops for me so I couldn’t pass up this piece. I ordered a size small and it was a little large but it’s intended to be flowy. I’d just tuck it in to get a more fitted look. I kept the neck tie pretty tight for this workwear look but you can adjust it for your personal preferences or for a more weekend casual vibe. Also, big fan of the flutter sleeve. Have TONS of flutter sleeve options in my current wardrobe. They are so fun for the office and “dress up” tops enough that you don’t need to wear cardigans or blazers over (but you can if you want, the fabric is lightweight).

The skirt was the first item that drew my attention on the H&M site. I actually don’t own many skirts but something about this one spoke to me. I love the length, the buckle detail, and the fact that it has pockets. Win, win, WIN! I am curvier and typically wear a 6-9 in pants/dresses so I ordered a medium in this and I am very pleased with the fit and quality. Not to mention I can literally wear this piece hundreds of ways through all seasons!
Outfit 4
Same skirt as above but popped on this piegeon blue cami. Ordered a size medium but definite needed a small – so size down. I like the fabric of this one because it’s different from the typical silk and satin versions, which sometimes leave me looking a little stretched in the chest area (for ladies who have larger chests). It’s under $25 and comes in white and black options as well.

Outfit 5
Same cami but paired with grey plaid slacks. H&M offers regular and petite sizes. I ordered these in an 8p and they hit me perfectly at the ankle for my petite size – they were too snug on me. I actually really like the pants though. The quality is good and the fabric is soft – albeit a little heavy for a Spring/Summer pant.

Outfit 6
Intentionally wearing the same blazer and wearing items multiple ways so you can see how easy you can style wardrobe basics multiple ways. Two skirts in one order, I don’t even know who I am! I don’t even currently own two skirts but here I am – people change, people! <LOL> All kidding aside, can’t go wrong with a neutral pleated skirt. Ordered this in a size 8 and it fit great in the waist but it’s not as petite friendly as I’d like. It’s not lined but it’s not necessary with the quality and weight of the fabric.

Lastly,
I ordered this white tie neck skirt with a pleated bib detail but it was much too small for me so I couldn’t try it on. It’s a beautiful piece for workwear and/or summer, vacation casual wear. Definitely recommend sizing up.
